Religion According to Me

 After reading what I think about religion you might want to leave my website, so you have been warned!

My religious background:

Born and raised as a preacher’s kid, going to church or a place to worship three times a week. I was trained from birth to preach from door to door spreading the word that Jesus is the son of God. Reading the bible from front to back and back to front more then three times in my life time. I even studied the old and new testaments in both English and Hebrew with the help of friends that could read Hebrew.

As a Jehovah Witness as a kid I never celebrated any holidays but Passover, some people call it Easter.

My present day:

I do not go to church of any kind and don’t really believe organized religion of any sort. To me organized religion is more like a gang or an occult. Basically you have to follow doctrines that have been handed down from generation to generation without any form of scrutiny or hard facts. I can not follow what I do not believe to be truth, but I do how ever believe in GOD and that he or she started all this we call LIFE.

Things I do not believe in:

I do not believe in paying preachers who think they are the voice of GOD one thin dime. If they feel the need to preach, then let them preach on their own dime. Jesus never took a dime for all the teaching he did or ride around in a fancy horse and buggy with 20” rims.

I don’t believe that sending money to a man or church will help you get your prayers answered.

I don’t believe that with over 15,000,000 religions out here in the world that any one of them are sanctioned by GOD what so ever. And if it was, do you think you would be the lucky one that picked that only true one?

I don’t believe that GOD micro manages your life what so ever or even has a plan for you like a pre-written destiny or something. Why make life just to control how it lives in every way? Makes no sense and the GOD I believe in is very sensible.

The things I do believe in:

I believe you will reap what you sow or karma as some people call it. This I have seen first hand and try my best to do what is right this way.

I believe you should honor and respect you elders, men, women and children of all ages.

I believe you should respect another’s belief even though it does not agree with your own, but you do not have to follow it.

I believe there was a beginning of all life and it was no accident like a big bang theory or something.

I believe this life is your only life and what you do this day will be the last chance you have before you die.

I believe in living life to the fullest because you were given a life to live so don’t waste it.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness or any other denomination, but I am very Spiritual having a good relationship with what I think to be GOD and doing the things I feel he(she or it) wants me to do. That's the least I can do since he or she, it started life in the first place right?
