This year 2007 was to be my first Christmas and my first Christmas Tree since I was raised without this from birth. This time for the very first time in my life I bought a Tree and my daughter Bethany helped my decorate it with lights and cute little ornaments, but would not be with me for Christmas this year. It was her mother’s turn to have her since I am divorced. I bought presents and stuff to place under the tree so they would be there the following week when I have her. My little girl would have 2 Christmases this year and I would have my first so I thought.

A few days before I was to pick her up I was in Allen Texas visiting a friend and I got a phone call from my own alarm system at home at about 10:30am. Thinking it was some malfunction I took my time getting back home, but when I got there I was greeted with a wide open front door that was destroyed.

When I went inside I found many things stolen and even all the presents under the tree were gone. They all were for my daughter Bethany and 2 from my friends to me and I never got to see them. They stole 2 flat screens off the walls, my new notebook computer I never even used yet, camcorder and cell phone. They tried to take my stereo and it must have fell when the AC wires tore out causing sparks and burns in the carpet.

None of this really means much to me, but it was the presents under the tree for my little girl that just killed me. Why would thieves steal a bunch of Barbies and Polly Pockets? What is wrong with the world that people have to take things that have no real value in the streets? I have spent 45 years with out a Christmas of my own and the very first one I celebrate gets stolen from me and my daughter before we could even participate.

If this was not bad enough Jan 15th, 2008 I get laid-off from my real job also for the second time. Now is someone trying to tell me something or what? LOL

Well I guess on the lighter side, we all are living, healthy and can buy material things all over again right?

I gave my daughter money and we went shopping together for presents and I got a better price too since things were on a after Christmas sale now. Next year I will have my daughter and I will get to see her face when she opens the presents under the tree, I hope!

Well that’s the way I bring in the new year, what about you guys? Hope you did better then us.

Now back to business and finding a new job and making better websites.
